External beam radiation therapy is a type of radiation therapy that uses one or more beams to deliver high energy x-rays from outside the body into the cancerous tumour in the body.

External beam radiation therapy (EBRT) is a type of radiation therapy that uses one or more beams to deliver high energy x-rays from outside the body into the cancerous tumour in the body.

This is achieved using equipment called a Linear Accelerator, which directs the beams specifically into the tumour while sparing the surrounding healthy tissue.
